October Goals



I have completed making a list of my October Goals and wanted share them. I changed it up and categorized the areas of things to complete.

Fitness
Complete first 5k
Do the Crunch Diva challenge for October
Complete 41 miles in October
Lose 10lbs
Consider / sign up for Turkey Trot

Leisure / Craft
Read 2 books
Complete block of month for Crochet Class
Make Rocco a hat for his Halloween costume
Pumpkin Hat for Rocco
Pink / White hats for Kylie
4 scarves for the Church Sale
Have 2 Date Nights with Greg
Update Book Blog

Baking / Cooking
Make 20 cookies for Church sale
Try 4 new recipes
Complete all orders for October
Host Coffee Hour for Church

Household
Clean out my closet
Childproof all areas
Make Christmas shopping / crafting list

Pretty ambitious for this month but fingers crossed having my new planner and being organized I can get it all done!

Goals


Goals for June Recap:

1. Read 2 Books - Done! (Swim & Is Everyone Hanging Out With Me)
2. Organize my cookbook area - Done! 
3. Make 6 new recipes - ok, so I am not sure about 6, but I got a few new ones completed.
4. Go for at least 1 family walk a week Not once a week but again we got a few in as a family and Rocco took a few walks with me alone this month
5. Finish crochet blanket - Done!! 
6. Find ways to save some extra money this month - Done! Ebay'ed a few items and had a garage sale
7. Try 3 new cookie decorating ideas Done!
8. Blog books read since beginning of year Ehhh didn't complete this yet. 

It is easy to say I failed for June being that I didn't complete everything I wanted to. But I am happy that I got a lot done since it was a busy month. 

July Goals:

1. Weekly family walks
2. Boost our savings account
3. Finish a crochet blanket
4. Read 2 books
5. Try 4 new recipes

Janurary 2012!

Wahoo! It is a new year and I want to get off on the right foot, so with out further adieu here are my monthly goals:

1. Use the reading plan from Unity Chapel  and meet reading goals.
2. Read 2 books
3. Try 4 new recipes
4. Finish all work projects on my to do list before my maternity leave
5. Get my licence information changed
6. Finish 3 crochet hats for Baby Goz and 1 blanket for a friend
7. Turn in my application for the Lay Reader program
8. Wash all of Baby Goz's clothing and put away in new dresser
9. Find and download apps for baby 'tracking' of meals, naps and bowel movements
10. Get a Mani & Pedi before the big day!

2011 Goals Recap!!

I promise I didn't fall off of the face of the earth. I just slacked and then stopped blogging. But I am here to go over the 2011 goals and promise hope to be blogging come the new year!
  1. Go to 3 Concerts and/or take a couple day trips Done! Saw Sugarland, Zac Brown and NKOTB
  2. Be more fashionable - don't just dress for comfort Done! Got my fashion sense back
  3. Be a helpful, caring friend, wife, sister and family member Done! Really kept my promise here
  4. Donate my time / money to causes I believe in Done! I plan on continuing on with this one
  5. Eat better and make healthier choices Was doing good until I got pregnant, then the healthier choices were not my top priority!
  6. Use Cookbooks on hand to create better meals Done! I made a lot of great meals this year!
  7. Be a better Blogger Fail! I could have done a lot better.
  8. Less Internet when home or with family (including on phone& iPad) Done! Another one that I plan on continuing on with
  9. Look into college options for a BA Fail! I started to look and got side tracked.
  10. Read more - strive for 3 books a month I read 32 books this year. Not 36 but darn close!
  11. Be more organized Done! Wahoo!
  12. Finish 30 while 30 list I am giving myself a pass on this. I did well but did not finish it.
  13. Lucky #13... do a 5K (yikes!) FAIL!
I am working on my 2012 resolutions and goals and hope to have them ready for January 1st.

August Goals



Baby blocks seem very suitable for this month. It is me taking 'baby steps' back into my monthly goals. Below are my August 2011 goals:

1. Read 3 books!
2. Bring 3-4 lunches to work from home a week
3. 4 Dinners at home a week
4. Clean up the pantry
5. Ebay 2 items!

Nice slow start to getting into the groove again.

  1. Read 3 books  Books Read: Stori Telling, High Heels to Tractor Wheels and Something Borrowed
  2. Bake 50 cookies Baked over 300!
  3. Bake 200 mini cupcakes for Easter Sunday Done!
  4. Try making Cake pops (trail run for next month) Fail- just never got that done
  5. try 4 new recipes Not sure about 4, but I covered a few
  6. Bring lunch from home 4 days a week to work Fail: I think I brought about 3 a week
  7. Complete 1 crochet or knit project 2 crochet projects finished
  8. 12 visits to the gym Ehhh I am giving credit for this one. I had 10 gym visits and then other home work outs
  9. Get some $$$ into our savings account if possible Done!
  10. Complete a menu for my sister Jackie's Communion Party Done!

This afternoon I will know what my May Goals will be. This month creeped up quickly.

March Goals Recap and April Goals


March was a great month for goal completion! I was able to get a lot done and very excited with achieving some of these goals. So, lets recap:
  1. Read 3 books  Are You There Vodka?, The Art of Racing in The Rain and Believe it - Be it. You can read the book reviews on my second blog Kim's Book Blog
  2. 6 visits to my Gym Nailed it! 9 visits
  3. Finish 2 knitting projects & 2 Crochet projects 2 crochet and 1 knit project completed!
  4. Roast my first chicken or turkey  Made my first Turkey and from that turkey soup too!
  5. Bring lunch from home 3 days a week 19 lunches made from home and brought to work! Score!
  6. Print pics for frames at home (last months goal) BIG FAIL! (why can't I get this done) LOL
  7. Bake 75-100 cookies Made over 100!
On to APRIL GOALS!

  1. Read 3 books
  2. Bake 50 cookies
  3. Bake 200 mini cupcakes for Easter Sunday
  4. Try making Cake pops (trail run for next month)
  5. try 4 new recipes
  6. Bring lunch from home 4 days a week to work
  7. Complete 1 crochet or knit project
  8. 12 visits to the gym
  9. Get some $$$ into our savings account if possible
  10. Complete a menu for my sister Jackie's Communion Party

March Goals


Planned on posting these last night, but didn't get to it. Here are my goals for March. Safe to say that these are very ambitious.

  1. Read 3 books
  2. 6 visits to my Gym
  3. Finish 2 knitting projects & 2 Crochet projects
  4. Roast my first chicken or turkey
  5. Bring lunch from home 3 days a week
  6. Print pics for frames at home (last months goal)
  7. Bake 75-100 cookies

Goal Recap for February

  1. Read 3 books Giving myself credit for this (shh, don't tell) I read 2, Don't Sing at The Table and Queen of Babble
  2. Make 4 meatless meals  FAIL! I don't think I made any meatless meals... to be continued
  3. Keep to monthly Budget  This was thrown out the window when the Dr bills came rolling in
  4. Print pictures for frames around house FAIL! I will do this in March!
  5. Make 2 crochet projects I made 3 hats and 1 cowl! Also started a blanket. Go me!
  6. Plan something for Mom's Birthday Done! Made plans and they were switched around, but she had a good day!

Goals!

What a fast month! Here is how the goals for the month of January worked out:
  1. Read 3 booksI read 5 books! Check out my book blog for reviews at Kimsbookblog614@blogspot.com
  2. Make 4 meals using cook books I have home Fail! Didn't get 4 in but I tried.
  3. Crochet 3 hats 4 baby hats and 2 adult hats made
  4. Gym / work out twice a week Fail. We shoveled a lot of snow this month but no major work outs
  5. Go to Yoga twice this month Nope. 
  6. Find a curtain for the bedroom window Looks Great!!
  7. Eliminate 111 items from our home- donate what we can from them YAY! This helped us de-cluttered and clean the house
Now here we go for February 2011 Goals
  1. Read 3 books
  2. Make 4 meatless meals
  3. Keep to monthly Budget
  4. Print pictures for frames around house
  5. Make 2 crochet projects
  6. Plan something for Mom's Birthday
Hopefully the shortest month of the year will prove to be a good one and maybe less snow!

January 2011 Goals

With not posting monthly goals since October, I think it is time to break it down monthly again. Here are some of the things that I would like to accomplish this month. Shh I know I am 6 days behind!

  1. Read 3 books
  2. Make 4 meals using cook books I have home
  3. Crochet 3 hats
  4. Gym / work out twice a week
  5. Go to Yoga twice this month
  6. Find a curtain for the bedroom window
  7. Eliminate 111 items from our home- donate what we can from them

2011 Goals


Well here it is, a new decade! Can't believe that I am now in my 30's and ready for new adventures. Looking back at last years goals (see the previous blog post), posting it kept me on track. With that said, here is the new goals for 2011. I hope that you also will share your goals and how you strive to keep them!
  1. Go to 3 Concerts and/or take a couple day trips
  2. Be more fashionable - don't just dress for comfort
  3. Be a helpful, caring friend, wife, sister and family member
  4. Donate my time / money to causes I believe in

2010 Goal Recap

With the end of 2010 I had a chance to recap my goals. This was a trying year for me and my family, but I made it through and can still see the positive.
 
1. Read at least 2 books a month
Read 23 books for the year. Missed the goal by 1 book!
 
2. Learn and expand my knowledge to further my career goals
More than I would have expected. With my boss on Maternity leave for 3 months I took over her job!
 
3. Learn to Knit or Crochet (make a scarf and a blanket)
Yahoo! I learned to Crochet! I made both a scarf and blanket, plus other items
 
4. Eliminate clutter around the house, make our home more organized
Done! Plus we moved and got rid of a bunch of items
 
5. Stick to my monthly budget
Fail- we had some hits to our wallets this year
 
6. Be accountable and more conscious of my daily/weekly spending
I was more accountable. If we weren't this year would have been a lot tougher between my medical bills, the dogs medical issues and our move.
 
7. Pay off my car and find a replacement
PASS! In April I purchased a new car
 
8. Contribute more to our savings for the purchase of a house
Fail. See #5
 
9. Do a 5k
Fail - due to medical issues
 
10. Make a fitness routine and stick to it (realistic goals)
The first half of the year I did well with this, so Pass for me!
 
11. Make 4 new recipes a month
Pass! I tried all sorts of new things for the year.
 
12. Make more creative meals, and cook at home more (will help us save more $$ for the house)
Pass! Loved trying new things!
 
13. Help out and donate time to my church or other charities
I am very proud of what I accomplished this year
 
14. Be a better blogger
Getting there, I have made good progress this year
 
15. Scrapbook more, document our life in creative ways
I have not scrapbooked nearly enough this year
 
16. Be a supportive, loving and helpful wife, sister, friend and family member
Pass! I love the time that I have spent with all of my family and friends
 
I may have not accomplished all my goals but I certainly made progress. I am going to continue to make goals and have plans for achievements. This is the best way I can keep my self on track. Thanks for reading along on this journey!

October Goal Recap

1. Read 3 Books
FAIL- I read 1. This month went fast!
2. Finish 2 Crochet projects
Fail - I finished 1 the other I am still working on.
3. 4 new recipes
I made a few things this month that were new. I can't say 4, but 3 sounds right
4. Make lunch
I did a decent job this month bring leftovers, making lunch etc..
5. Organize craft items
DONE! I really am happy with the work I have done. I know I have some more to do. But a lot of progress was made.
